 Anytown is a friendly township of almost 6,000 people. The town is within 20 minutes of the beaches, less than an hour from the mountains and only 45 minutes from Anycity with all its cultural, educational, medical, theological and sports centers. Our school system is an accredited regional joining of four small towns with elementary students through grade five attending the Elementary School and 6-12 Middle and High Schools. Our high school is brand new, and has won state and national level awards for sports and scholarship. A large majority of our graduates go on to higher education. The High School received a State Excellence Award last year. Other Anytown facilities include the Public Library, which offers imaginative programs for all ages, the Community Center which is available for functions and parties, the Park with baseball and soccer fields, tennis courts and tot lot play area, and the Country Club, with a new public golf course. Anytown programs include Senior Affairs, a summer program for children and numerous athletic programs for children and adults. The town has an excellent full time police department and a volunteer fire department that has state of the art lifesaving and firefighting equipment. Citizens are active in the local Lions Club, Garden Club, Historical Society, Civic Club and other organizations. |
